Governance

The University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Education is responsible for policies and principal funding of the Cooperative Children's Book Center. Diana Hess is the dean of the School of Education.

The Division for Libraries and Technology of the Wisconsin Department Public Instruction provides additional funding through an annual contract for services for Wisconsin libraries and schools. Assistant Superintendent Kurt Kiefer heads the Divison.

The CCBC Advisory Board is comprised of individuals representing CCBC users on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus and from libraries and schools throughout Wisconsin. The board meets twice a year at the CCBC's request to provide input and feedback to the CCBC about its programs and services to the Wisconsin library, preK-12, and secondary education communities.
