CCBC Reference & Outreach Services
to Wisconsin Librarians and Teachers

Outreach to librarians and teachers across Wisconsin is a vital part of the CCBC programming and services.

References service is available in person during the library's public services hours , by phone (608-263-3720) or via e-mail .

The CCBC's Intellectual Freedom Information Services provides information and referral to Wisconsin librarians and teachers facing potential or actual materials challenges.

Hands-on Workshops provide Wisconsin librarians and teachers with opportunities to see and hear about some of the best new books of the year firsthand, which in turns helps them with book selection and purchasing decisions. Just as important, they provide the chance for librarians and teachers to come together, making connections and exchanging ideas.  Workshop participants often talk about feeling refreshed or reinvigorated after spending a day hearing about and examining new books and talking with colleagues.

Distance education and online presentations offered through various sponsoring agencies provides another way to find out about new books for children and teens.
