Starred Review Days

The CCBC will make all of the c2019 books received to-date that have received a starred review in one or more professional journals available for easy hands-on book examination on Monday and Tuesday, November 11 and 12. Books that have been selected for inclusion to-date in CCBC Choices 2020, the forthcoming edition (March, 2019) of the library's best-of-the-year list, will also be on display.

The books will be set up in the CCBC's Elizabeth Burr Conference Room. The library will be open 8:30 - 7 both days.

Milwaukee County Federated Library System Workshop

CCBC librarians Merri Lindgren, Megan Schliesman and Madeline Tyner will talk about great new (c2019) books for children and teens at a workshop sponsored by the Milwaukee County Federated Library System on Thursday, November 7 at the West Allis Public Library. There will be browsing (1-1:30; 3-3:30), and an early afternoon presentation (1:30-3) on books for birth through high school-age.
