One Sunday Morning
Minho, who spent a noisy afternoon running errands with his mother in One Afternoon (Orchard, 1994), now spends an only slightly quieter morning in Central Park with his father. They watch joggers and bicyclists, take a horse-and-buggy and a carousel ride, and head for the zoo. It's an idyllic day. That's something that becomes all too clear when Minho wakes in the morning and realizes it was all a dream. Yumi Heo's colorful, skewed perspectives convey the busy city scenes and serve as a backdrop for this story about a Korean American father and son. ©1999 Cooperative Children's Book Center
