Fifty-one contemporary and historical Black men and women are each featured in a one-page format which includes a black-and-white photograph or drawing of the person, life date(s), birthplace, a summary phrase, an AFRO-BETS Kids re-enactment of the person's last name, a standard spelling of the full name and several brief easy-to-read paragraphs describing accomplishments.
