Web Resources

Here on our web site, you’ll find a wealth of information, including….

  • Original booklists created by the CCBC professional staff on a wide range of themes and topics, including those specifically aligned with the Common Core Standards.

You can also find out how to order a copy of the most recent CCBC Choices, the CCBC’s annual best-of-the-year list of outstanding books for children and teens. We also provide links to many of the annual children’s and young adult literature awards and best-of-the-year lists.

  • Information and links on challenges to books and other materials are available for teachers to help you think about choosing materials for your classroom, and to help you better prepare to face challenges to materials if they do occur. Wisconsin teachers facing a materials challenge are encouraged to make use of our CCBC Intellectual Freedom Information Services.

  • Webcasts of speeches by a wide range of authors, artists and others in the children’s and young adult literature field who have spoken at CCBC events.

  • The Westing Game manuscript materials. Examine the rough draft, first draft, second draft and final manuscript of chapter one of The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin, complete with notes from the author, editor, copyeditor and proofreader. Listen to Ellen Raskin’s commentary, and examine her working notes and design concepts for the book with your students.

  • Archived web presentations about new books for children and teens.
