Handtalk Zoo
A multiracial group of five children and two adults, one of who, coauthor Mary Beth Miller, is deaf, spend a typical day at the zoo in a companion volume to Handtalk (1974) and Handtalk Birthday (1987). Vivid color photographs record their conversations throughout the day in American Sign Language (ASL), signing and fingerspelling animals and times of day. ©1989 Cooperative Children's Book Center
