The CCBC entrance welcomes visitors with a flower-scape from Wisconsin book creator Lois Ehlert’s Planting a Rainbow. Stepping inside the library, visitors find a curated collection of artwork by children’s book artists, speaking to the importance of the CCBC as a professional examination center of literature for children and teens.
A permanent display highlights The Westing Game manuscript and other works of Wisconsin author/artist Ellen Raskin. Artwork on display throughout the reading room offers additional insights into the story of the CCBC, and the authors and artists with whom the CCBC has connected.
If you can’t visit us to see these works in person, please enjoy this gallery guide with photographs and descriptions.
