The term of the current Charlotte Zolotow Award has been extended for an additional year due to challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021-2022 Charlotte Zolotow Award will consider eligible books published during both the 2020 and 2021 calendar years.
The new deadline for submission is December 15, 2021, and the award winner, honor books, and highly commended titles will be announced in January, 2022.
The Charlotte Zolotow Award, established and administered by the CCBC, recognizes excellence in picture book texts published in the United States.
