One Minute
CCBC Review:
After explaining exactly what one minute is (60 seconds, the number of times a clock’s second hand moves while the long hand moves just once), a small, pig- tailed girl goes on to give a more child-like perspective of one minute. You can blink your eyes twenty times in one minute or hug your dog. Sometimes one minute goes very fast (like when you’re on a merry-go-round) and sometimes it’s slow (sitting in a dentist’s chair). This appealing introduction to time perception is illustrated with mixed-media line drawings by a first-time author/ illustrator who lives in South Korea. ©2016 Cooperative Children's Book Center
